A Friendly Day at the Community Farm

We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon after Meeting at the Community Farm where we volunteered to help with the Harvest. A great time was had by all picking pears and apples, learning about sustainable agriculture and watching the kids try to maneuver a very tall picking contraption. We shared lunch and had a great time exploring the Farm's orchards and gardens. Several members of the meeting also took an informative tour of the farm led by Carolyn Stephenson. Produce from the farm was donated to the Santa Fe Food Depot and the farm is also used for educational purposes for local schools. The Community Farm is just one of many organizations the Santa Fe Quaker meeting supports through our Good Works effort.
